Today we cast a spotlight on long-time Jewish Community Center professional Patty Simonson who was recently appointed as the Center’s Chief Executive Officer. “Patty’s DNA has JCC stamped on it,” said Rise’ Kulick, JCC Past president “She was always destined for this position and our community is lucky indeed to now have such a talented, engaged leader as our JCC CEO.”
A dedicated staff member of the JCC since 1979, Patty graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Canisius College, and a Master of Arts and Science degree from Adelphi University. During her tenure at the JCC, she has played an instrumental role in managing day-to-day operations, overseeing program growth and development, staff and member engagement, community relations and talent management. “Patty’s commitment to the JCC of Greater Buffalo comes from deep in her heart and soul and has grown and blossomed over decades of service,” remarks Cantor Mark Horowitz, the JCC’s Chief Operating Officer. “Patty leads with vision, integrity, is collaborative and a great communicator. The future of the JCC will be built on a steady and strong foundation with Patty as our CEO.”
