Join us on Tuesday, September 24 at UB Center for the Arts
As we gather for the biggest party of the year to celebrate Jewish Buffalo and two extraordinary leaders who have made a significant impact. The evening will begin at 5:30 pm with cocktails and food stations. At 7:00 pm, we’ll move to the main stage theatre for a 45-minute program to honor Marni Marciano and Hadar Borden, listen to powerful impact stories, and celebrate a new direction for the Buffalo Jewish Federation. The after-party begins at 7:45 pm with more cocktails, desserts, and music back in the atrium. Dietary laws will be observed under the supervision of the Buffalo Vaad HaKashrus. Free valet parking is available as well. You won’t want to miss schmoozing with 500 of your closest friends (and making new friends) as we celebrate Jewish Buffalo together.

Marni Marciano
Ruth and Milton Kahn Emerging Leadership Award
Marni, a native Buffalonian, attended the University of Minnesota where she earned a degree in Journalism and Public Relations. She lived in Toronto before returning to Buffalo to raise her family. She has worked mostly in pharmaceutical sales before transitioning to her current role as Field Access Lead for Pfizer, working directly with families to help them access crucial medication.
Marni and her husband Armand, together with their twins Max and Sylvie, have been active members of Kehillat Ohr Tzion, where Marni served as Chair of the Youth Education Committee from 2018-2020. Marni has also served in several roles at LiNK Jewish Buffalo including Chair of PJ Library from 2020-2021, Vice Chair of LiNK from 2021-2023, and currently as LiNK’s chair.
To know Marni is to witness the authenticity of her heartfelt resolve to make a significant impact on the world around her.
Hadar Borden
Ann Holland Cohn Community Impact Award
Hadar, in addition to being the director of the University at Buffalo’s Startup and Innovation Collaboratory, serves as the director of the WNY Prosperity Fellowship Program, a leadership development program, generously funded by The Prentice Family Foundation that seeks to recruit and retain entrepreneurial-minded students to contribute to economic development in Western New York. Prior to her current roles, Hadar served for eight years as the administrative director of the University at Buffalo’s Undergraduate Academies, the collaborative, interdisciplinary living-and-learning communities for undergraduates. She was formerly the assistant administrative director of the University Honors College and before that served as an assistant director in the Office of Admissions.
Hadar is an inspired leader, proud of being Jewish and of her family connection to Israel. Her passion for Jewish values guides her in working with so many students with diverse backgrounds.

2024 KickOff Event Recap
On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, over 450 Jewish Buffalonians gathered at UB Center for the Arts for a memorable evening to celebrate Gary Greenfield receiving the Nathan Benderson Community Service Award & Randi Morkisz receiving the Judith and Daniel Kantor Professional Service Award. The program concluded with a moving documentary film, created by Jewish Buffalonian Brenda Feldstein, highlighting stories of three unique transformational “moments”. Moments where the Buffalo Jewish Federation …. our people, our projects, our vehicles for giving … transformed lives.

2023 KickOff Event Recap
On September 14, 2022, the Buffalo Jewish Federation held the 2023 Campaign for Jewish Buffalo Kickoff Event. The event featured a special video tribute to Leslie Kramer, z”l, Federation’s immediate Past President and beloved community member who lost her courageous battle with cancer earlier this year (video directed and produced by Brenda Feldstein). The evening also featured New York Times columnist and author, Bruce Feiler.
