Preserving the past and providing for the future.
Jewish Federation Cemetery Corporation
WHO WE ARE
The Jewish Federation Cemetery Corporation owns and maintains eight Jewish cemeteries in the Greater Buffalo, NY area. We are a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to providing a home for Western New York Jewish cemeteries whose founding synagogues and shuls have ceased to exist. Founded in 1981, we came together to oversee and maintain this growing number of sacred Jewish resting places.
WHAT WE DO
We take care of all eight cemetery properties in every way necessary, from legal and financial issues, to burials, upkeep, and security. We maintain the grounds in spring, summer and fall, shovel snow in winter, take care of overgrown trees, broken walkways, damaged fences and grounds due to weather, vandalism, or age. We help families bury their loved ones all year round.
Jewish burial traditions are maintained for each cemetery according to the practice of its founding synagogue, and we continue to serve the burial needs of those having entitlement from each individual founding synagogue, or for those wishing to be buried within the grounds.
