When I think of fall, I think about comfort food. For me, that is usually food that is heavier and hearty. One of the first things that come to mind is chili. There are so many different aspects of chili that make it one of the best meals on a chilly fall evening.

Chili has the warmth of a soup and enough protein and vegetables to fuel your body. Chili can have the misconception that it needs to be spicy. Yes, many people like to make their chili spicy. Some people even compete in chili-making competitions and one of the factors in the competition is spice. However, if you are not one of those people who like a bit of a kick, you can make it to your taste. Similarly, you can adjust chili to fit your dietary restrictions by substituting for ground turkey, plant-based alternatives, and vegetable broth.

This recipe requires very little time for preparation. Then, you let it cook in the pot with occasional stirring. Just throw it into the pot and magically have a delicious meal for your whole family! It is that easy! If you are looking for a low-maintenance dinner this week, give this recipe a try!
