Shavuot marks the giving of the Torah on Mt. Sinai. The Ten Commandments are read in synagogues, just as they were in the desert on Mt. Sinai over 3,300 years ago. It begins on Sunday evening, June 1, and continues through Tuesday, June 3.

Buffalo’s Pride Parade steps off on Sunday, June 1, marching up Elmwood Avenue to Allen Street. Join others from the Jewish community to march in the parade! To participate, assemble between 11:30 AM and noon at Buffalo State College Parking Lots R13 and R14. If you prefer to cheer from the sidelines, gather in front of Congregation Beth Abraham, 1073 Elmwood, to boost the marchers. This year’s Parade theme is HIGH VISIBILITY. “Represent yourself to the community and show off your solidarity! Be seen in can’t-miss colors, flashy fashions, and a point of view that refuses to be ignored.
