Valentino Dixon is a Buffalo based artist, exoneree and criminal justice reform advocate. Arrested for a murder he didn’t commit and exonerated after 27 years behind bars, Dixon’s passion for art sustained him. During his many years in prison, Valentino created hundreds of intricate images: landscapes, portraits, still life pieces and scenes based on legendary golf courses. In the time following his release, Dixon has traveled extensively to share his story and advocate for sentencing reform and other criminal justice…

Celebrate Shavuot – Family Program

The JCC, in partnership with PJ Library, will share a special story celebrating the Jewish Holiday Shavout. Following the reading children can enjoy an ice cream sundae bar. Focusing on the Hebrew word Chesed, which means kindness or love between people, families can create paper flowers which will be donated to Cancer Patients at Roswell Park through the organization “Because Char Smiled”.
