We had two beautiful days and it is making me really excited for the warmer weather. When I think about warm weather in regard to food, I always gravitate towards a classic barbeque. In my family, we always have burgers at our big barbeques. We make regular hamburgers, and sometimes we have vegetarian burgers or portabella mushroom burgers.
Personally, I love anything with portabella mushrooms. When I found this recipe one day, I was really excited because I have never thought of this. I have always thought of the mushroom being the burger and inside of the bun. I never thought you could make the mushroom the bun!
After trying this myself, I can say that a portabella mushroom bun is a genius and delicious idea. Even better, it is a much healthier way to enjoy your burger. When I say burger this could be a veggie burger, tofu, chicken burger, or your classic hamburger. Whatever your pick may be, give the portabella bun a shot and have it at your next barbeque!
