CPR Class

Amherst Memorial Chapel 281 Dodge Road, Getzville, NY, United States

The community is invited to attend a FREE one-hour Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation training (please note - this is not a certification class). Amherst Memorial Chapel and Buffalo Jewish Federation have partnered with the American Heart Association and the 3 For Heart CPR Challenge. Attendance is limited, please register by emailing msteinhorn@amherstmemorialchapel.com Donations to the American Heart Association are suggested

Geniza Burial

Elmlawn Cemetery 3939 Delaware Avenue, Kenmore, NY, United States

Amherst Memorial Chapel, in conjunction with Elmlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, are once again holding a “Geniza” burial. In Jewish tradition, timeworn sacred manuscripts, and ritual objects, along with prayer books & bibles which contain the name of G-d are sacred and therefore require a proper burial. Please join us (use the Brighton Road entrance) as we respectfully place the Geniza from our community into a grave. Participants are invited to bring any religious items that are no longer of use to the cemetery.
