Amherst Memorial Chapel, in conjunction with Elmlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, are once again holding a “Geniza” burial. In Jewish tradition, timeworn sacred manuscripts, and ritual objects, along with prayer books & bibles which contain the name of G-d are sacred and therefore require a proper burial.

Please join us (use the Brighton Road entrance) as we respectfully place the Geniza from our community into a grave. Participants are invited to bring any religious items that are no longer of use to the cemetery.
