Buffalo Jewish Federation proudly works with and collaborates with all Jewish Buffalo organizations to weave threads of connection, including Hillel of Buffalo. Today, we are pleased to introduce Levi Fichman, Hillel of Buffalo’s new Israel Fellow.
Growing up in Israel, Levi developed a deep appreciation for the connections that unite Jewish communities across the globe. His passion for fostering meaningful relationships between Israeli and North American Jews was shaped by his experiences and strengthened during high school as a Bronfman Fellow, where he discovered the power of thoughtful dialogue, shared learning, and engaging with peers from diverse backgrounds.
Before joining Hillel of Buffalo, Levi worked as a Fullstack Developer at Datamint, in Tel Aviv, where he honed his collaborative approach to problem-solving and innovation. He now brings those same skills to Jewish community building, creating opportunities for students to connect with one another, explore their Jewish identities, and engage with Israel in authentic and meaningful ways.
As Hillel of Buffalo’s Israel Fellow, Levi will focus on strengthening students’ connections to Israel while cultivating an inclusive campus community where every Jewish student feels heard, valued, and welcomed. Through relationship-building, educational programming, and meaningful conversations, he hopes to create spaces where students can explore their identities, ask thoughtful questions, and build lasting friendships.

We are excited to welcome him to Buffalo and know he will have a tremendous impact on our campus community.”
Outside of work, Levi enjoys fitness, personal growth, and spending time with people from diverse backgrounds. He believes that meaningful relationships are at the heart of strong communities and is excited to help students discover a welcoming Jewish home at Hillel of Buffalo.
