Happy Hanukkah! I hope your Hanukkah is filled with light! Spin the dreidel with your friends and family and win all of the gelt! In my opinion, there is no better way to celebrate Hanukkah than with delicious potato latkes! Latkes are an iconic Hanukkah delight! It could be a long process, depending on how you make them. However, it is worth the effort. It is a classic and traditional dish to serve with apple sauce, sour cream, or lox.
When I was younger, my friends and I had a cooking competition in our youth group to make the best-tasting latkes with one non-traditional ingredient inside. The rabbi was brave enough to be the judge. My friends used fun ingredients like chocolate chips, cereal, and marshmallows. I used potato chips in mine and it was the winner (so delicious)! So this Hanukkah, I challenge you and your family to have a latke cook-off! I promise you will not regret it!
