Wise Gathering

Wise Gathering, facilitated by Cantor Mark Horowitz and Rob Goldberg, is a monthly opportunity for men ages 56+ to gather over food and drink for casual conversation about issues and events that matter such as politics, Jewish culture, antisemitism, and celebrating our collected wisdom and experiences through a Jewish context to help us age well. Kosher Mini Chefs – Tu B’shvat Class

USY goes to Lasertron

Join United Synagogue Youth (USY) at Lasertron on Sunday, January 21 from 3:45 - 6:30 pm For grades 8 - 12 Cost: $35 includes 2 lasertag games, unlimited soft drinks and bonus credits**. **The bonus credits include 1 credit/$5 you can use at the arcade that day, or save for later. Lasertag games are 4 credits. You also receive 6 additional credits that can be used starting the next day to play lasertag or other attractions, or converted to $5/credit for the arcade games. Day Trip to Buffalo AKG Art Museum

Please join us for a 90 minute tour of both the Wilmers collection galleries and the new Gundlach galleries in both buildings of this reimagined gem in our home of Buffalo. We will be led by a docent of the museum who will help us to experience AKG at its finest. Whether you have visited the museum before this will be a new adventure with new friends and a community feel.We will have lunch after the tour in the beautiful Cornelia Cafe. The menu at Cornelia, was designed to push traditional boundaries by placing an artful spin on classic dishes. We will meet in the Benderson Lobby at 11:15am. Jewish Medical Ethics

Take a deep dive into the hot medical issues of the day with bioethicist Jill Gutmann, MA, MPH. Whether it is a discussion of the impact on the health of supply chains or the cost of prescription drugs, you will be guided through an engaging discussion while looking at the science, politics, Jewish commentary, and other relevant sources to frame your opinion. Never knowing what the timely topic will be until class, this fun, informative and engaging course is sure to make you think and wish the discussion could continue long after the session has ended.
