Peggy Sullivan is a Women’s Leadership Speaker, Mindset Expert, and Founder of non-profit SheCAN! Born and raised in Buffalo, Peggy attended Sweet Home High School and then headed east to Rochester Institute of Technology where she graduated with a BA in Marketing and Communication.  She also received her Executive MBA from the University of Buffalo. Today Peggy serves on the JCC Board of Directors and is a Federation Lion of Judah.

Peggy’s early career began at Benderson Development, where she was the Executive Director of their in-house Advertising Agency.  The daughter of Ted z”l and Suzanne Kahn z”l, Peggy resigned from position at Benderson to take care of her mother who passed away at an early age from cancer.  Peggy took that opportunity then to start a new career in Customer Experience and worked for a number of different companies, including Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Materion, and United Healthcare.

In 2021, Peggy is all about SheCAN!, a membership-based organization that offers educational events, online learning, networking and mentoring opportunities, as well as a variety of resources to help women become their personal and professional best. In just two years, SheCAN! has helped thousands of women learn, grow, and have fun, in a nurturing and supportive environment. For more information on SheCAN! visit shecanbuffalo.com.

Peggy has also authored a book, Happiness is Your Responsibility: Peggy’s Playbook of Motivational Moments, that will be released later this year!

Peggy credits her supportive husband, Tom Sullivan, for helping her through all the trials and tribulations of starting a new organization.  Brandon Fink, Peggy’s son, who works in the financial field in Boston, often chats with his mom about business.  It’s a full circle experience for Peggy, who never forgets the wise words of her dad, “A day without learning something is a lost opportunity.”

Peggy truly feels that “every day is a gift and you get to choose your attitude.”  Perhaps she has found the secret recipe to happiness: a positive attitude, healthy living, good energy, and a long history of tzedakah.

The community is invited to attend Peggy’s free event FINDING YOUR OWN HAPPINESS on Thursday, March 11 at 7 pm.  To register for the event, visit bit.ly/WPMARCHEVENTS or click here for more information.
