Mussia Kleyman
June 19, 2020

During the month of June, we will be celebrating some of Jewish Buffalo’s graduating high school seniors!  This week, meet Mussia Kleyman.

Mussia is a recent graduate of Bais Chomesh High School in Toronto, ON. She is a determined young woman, with plans to strengthen her Jewish knowledge and identity, study criminal justice in university, and ultimately attend law school to pursue her dream of becoming an attorney.

Mussia’s passion for law stemmed from one of her high school classes, Canadian Law. In the course, she developed a fascination for the intricacies of the law and the procedure of research and debate that goes into winning a case. As an attorney, Mussia will be able to help those who are in need of defense, as well as provide opportunities for her to research and debate, all things she very much enjoys.

In the future, Mussia hopes to continue her involvement with the organizations she loves. Last summer, Mussia fell in love with YEKA Girls, a summer camp program for Jewish orphans in the Ukraine. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, Mussia was unable to return this summer, but she plans on helping to raise funds for YEKA again soon. Mussia also hopes to continue volunteering with Chai Lifeline, an organization that helps children with pediatric illnesses.

Congratulations on your fantastic achievements, Mussia!  You make Jewish Buffalo proud.
