Fun on a Sunday morning for pre-k kids and a grown-up! Parents and grandparents are invited to join Rabbi Brent and Jill Gutmann for an engaging, interactive, Jewish-themed gathering of Pre-K children and the grown-ups who love them. Doors open at 9:15 AM for Free Play in the gym. The little ones get out their wiggles on our riding toys and other tot-sized gym equipment. Both grown-ups and little ones enjoy the playful atmosphere and making friends. At 10 AM, we move to the Library for stories and songs, followed by some easy arts & crafts and a yummy snack. In collaboration with the Buffalo Board of Rabbis and Cantors, this exceptional course is designed for: couples of multiple faiths considering marriage, individuals interested in conversion, or individuals (Jewish and non-Jewish) interested in learning more about Jewish religion and history. Susan and I had worked together as musicians, producing the CD, “Songs of Healing and Hope”. Susan had also helped me with my unruly poetic outbursts making some of them publishable, and it was suggested we mark the ten years of her passing with a poetry event in her honor at our synagogue, Congregation Shir Shalom. For all of our grief and loss expressed that night, I experienced a powerful coming together of community. […]
