Cultural Arts and JRT team up to present a special film series. View the film version of the plays being produced this season by the JRT. Popcorn and refreshments included Monday, November 14 | 7:00 pm- 9:30 pm Screening of “The Chosen” (On stage at the JRT Oct 27-Nov 20) The Chosen traces a friendship between two Jewish boys growing up in Brooklyn at the end of World War II. Reuven Malter, the narrator and one of the novel's two protagonists, is a traditional Orthodox Jew. He is the son of David Malter, a dedicated scholar and humanitarian. Experience Buffalo through the eyes of the narrator of Lauren Belfer’s historical novel, City of Light, which is set in Buffalo at the dawn of the twentieth century.
