Happiness is Learned. Your weekly dose of Jewish inspiration. The Torah Studies class brings you the tradition of classical Jewish learning in a series of enticing weekly classes. Each class introduces ideas and issues from the current weekly Torah portion and, through discussion and debate, creates a meaningful connection between the timeless wisdom of the Torah and modern-day living.
Every Thursday morning 9:00 – 10:00am Dive into the vast sea of the Talmud, the compilation of centuries of Halachic discussion between the greatest of sages. With its stimulating and mind-sharpening twists of logic, the Talmud represents the ultimate in Jewish scholarship. DETAILS Alumni of all generations (age 21+) are invited to join us from Friday, August 30th - Sunday, September 1st. The event will kick off at 3pm on Friday and conclude with lunch and a 1pm departure on Sunday. Some highlights of this year's program: • Spend time at our beautiful waterfront • Play in an over/under softball game • Connect with your Judaism and feel the magic of Shabbat at camp • Experience a camp-themed banquet • …and much more! PRICING We have set a minimum price based on age in order to ensure we are offsetting the costs associated with the weekend, however we encourage all attendees to “pay as you are led”. When you register, you will be able to select the correct minimum price based on your age and elect to make an optional additional contribution.
