Shana Tova! With Rosh Hashanah right around the corner, it is time to start planning what will be at your family dinner. If there is one food in particular that I look forward to during every holiday season is sweet noodle kugel. What a perfect way to start out the new year!
There are so many different variations of noodle kugel. Some people make a savory kugel with cheese and others make it sweet with cinnamon, raisins, and apples. My mom’s noodle kugel is my absolute favorite. When she makes food to freeze for me to bring to school because I cannot go home for the holidays, my first request is always noodle kugel. I think the flavor combinations of the kugel pair so beautifully with the other classic flavors of Rosh Hashanah.
I know preparing for a holiday is a lot of work and very time-consuming. There is so much to cook and plan. Sometimes, we try to look for things that are quick to make. When looking at a recipe, especially one that is baked, you should pay attention to the estimated preparation time. This way you know how long it is going to take to put it together and then you stick it in the oven until it’s done. Sweet noodle kugel is the recipe that will save you so much time and end the meal in the sweetest way!
