Richard Steinberg
August 9, 2024

This week, we are excited to spotlight Richard (Rick) Steinberg, a talented photographer whose latest exhibit, “Flora, Fauna & Humanity,” opened last Friday at Parables Gallery (1027 Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo).

Born in New York City in the 1960s, Rick has always been inspired by the city’s rich artistic heritage. His passion for photography was ignited during a high school photography class, and since then, he has built a remarkable career capturing the interplay between nature and human life.

Rick’s upcoming exhibit will be on display until August 30, with a special opening reception tonight (August 9) from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. This collection features stunning photographs that explore how natural elements and human activity intersect. Each image reflects Rick’s unique perspective on the world, highlighting the delicate balance between our environments and our interactions with them.

Steinberg’s impressive resume includes recent exhibitions at the Jewish Community Center, where he displayed thirty-six pieces, and three pieces at Flamingotastic at El Museo for Pride Month. In 2022, he exhibited thirteen occupation photographs at Journey’s End Refugee Service and participated in a juried exhibition at WNYAG.

Rick’s academic background from SUNY Buffalo in History and related fields complements his artistic vision, allowing him to capture and express the essence of his subjects with depth and insight. “Flora, Fauna & Humanity” is more than just a display of art; it is an invitation to see the world through Rick’s lens.

We invite you to join us at Parables Gallery to experience Rick Steinberg’s remarkable work and celebrate his contributions to the world of photography.
