Meet the BJF Team!

The Buffalo Jewish Federation team is made up of a diverse group of professionals who work to fulfill the vision of creating a robust, caring and connected Jewish Buffalo.  Today, meet Joan Kwiatkowski, who joined the Federation team in August 2012.  Joan’s formal title is Executive Assistant, but she is so much more!  If you’ve ever called Federation’s main number, or sent an email to our general info line, Joan is most likely the team member who responded.  Every day Joan helps to keep everything in the background running smoothly.  Without her assistance, our work would not be complete!

Joan grew up in Lancaster, NY and attended Erie Community College, where she met her husband, Mike, and became proud parents to their two daughters, Catherine and Carolyn.   The Kwiatkowski family was overjoyed when Carolyn announced her engagement to Aaron Stewart over a year ago.  A beautiful 150 person wedding was planned for May 17, 2020, until COVID struck!  After a stressful few months of scheduling and rescheduling the big day, Carolyn is finally getting married on August 29 with a lovely reception in the Kwiatkowski backyard.
