A study of Jewish History of the Late 19th Century In the late 19th century, in response to an intensifying wave of pogroms and state-tolerated anti-Semitism, the Zionist movement emerged with its solution to the “Jewish Problem.” While some Jews embraced the Zionist message, others vehemently disagreed with its mixture of secularism and nationalism. In the meantime, some Jews choose to emigrate to the United States, a country described lovingly as “Der Goldene Medine”, The Golden Land. Come join us…
