In partnership with the Colored Musicians Club, the JCC is proud to be part of the Buffalo History Museums Happy Hour Series presenting a special program including the history and inspiration of jazz music on Harold Arlen. Harold Arlen was born on Buffalo’s East Side, as Hyman Arluck in 1905. Arlen took the sounds of the synagogue, his neighborhood and the music of the clubs and created over 400 songs in a 50-year span including Over the Rainbow. Enjoy live music by the George Scot Big Band and an archival exhibit of Harold Arlen.
