Mussar is a Jewish path of contemplative practices and exercises that have evolved over the past thousand years.  Through Mussar, each individual works on their own personal self-directed curriculum in an effort to practice the way they want to be in the world.

Season of Mussar II
A Season of Mussar II is the continuation of A Season of Mussar I.  At this higher level, more advanced Mussar practices are added to the program, including Cheshbon Ha’Nefesh (Accounting of the Soul), which involves both the daily recitation of a phrase and keeping a journal.  You will study these six middot:

  • Patience/Savlanut
  • Forgiveness/Slichah
  • Simplicity/Histapkut
  • Lovingkindness/Chesed
  • Strength/Gevurah
  • Faith/Emunah

Facilitator: Susan Schwartz
Cost: $136 – Registration is through The Mussar Institute.  You will need to know the name of the facilitator and start date of this course to register.
Seven Sessions will be held on Mondays, 5:30 – 7 PM at Congregation Beth Abraham
