Mussar is a Jewish path of contemplative practices and exercises that have evolved over the past thousand years.  Through Mussar, each individual works on their own personal self-directed curriculum in an effort to practice the way they want to be in the world.

Season of Mussar I
A Season of Mussar I guides you in an exploration of your soul traits as you find and strengthen your balance for leading a fulfilling life in worldly and spiritual matters.  You will become equipped with tools of Jewish spiritual practice that are centuries old to purify and elevate your soul.  Six middot (soul traits) will be introduced:

  • Humility/Anavah
  • Anger/Ka’as
  • Gratitude/Hakarat Ha’tov
  • Trust/Bitachon
  • Honor/Kavod
  • Alacrity/Zerizut

Facilitator: Susan Schwartz
Cost: $136 – Registration is through The Mussar Institute.  When registering, you will need to know the name of your facilitator and the start date of this course.
Seven Sessions will be held on Mondays, 5:30 – 7 PM (location TBD)
