About the Exhibit:
During the liberation of Auschwitz in 1945, the diary of Rywka Lipsyc, a young orthodox Jewish girl, was discovered by a Soviet doctor. The Girl in the Diary: Searching for Rywka from the Łódź Ghetto presents powerful excerpts from Rywka’s diary while she was in Łódź Ghetto from October 1943 – April 1944. The exhibit also includes expert commentary from historians, doctors, psychologists and Rabbis.
