Jewish Repertory Theatre presents a filmed staged reading of Bar Mitzvah Boy by Mark Leiren-Young. Bar Mitzvah Boy tells the story of a non-observant Jewish grandfather/successful divorce attorney who decides he needs to have a Bar Mitzvah ASAP and finds his faith during study with a Rabbi who seems to be losing hers. This heartfelt comedy/drama explores faith, religion, and what it means to be part of a community. Directed by JRT Artistic Director Saul Elkin and staring Buffalo acting favorites Peter Palmisano and Diane DiBernardo. This professionally filmed staged reading will be available for streaming from November 5-25. Individual tickets are $20 and 5 play season subscriptions are $80.
