Now celebrating its 35th Season the Buffalo International Jewish Film Festival is excited to announce we are going Virtual. After having to postpone the scheduled Festival in March 2020 we are looking forward to bringing you all the films that were to be part of the live Festival, offering you the opportunity to view them virtually from the comfort and safety of your own home!  Beginning August 1 through August 21, join us as we continue to connect and engage in a new way. Join the BIJFF and the Holocaust Resource Center for a panel discussion answering questions related to the film and other projects the HRC is involved. The Panel discussion will be screened through YouTube live and participants will have the opportunity to engage and ask questions by the live chat option.

BIJFF Challah Bake Workshop – Baking with Chef Marshall Goldstein – Wednesday, August 12 @ 12 pm

Join the BIJFF as they host a live Challah Bake, in conjunction with the film Challah Rising in the Desert: the Jews of New Mexico.  Chef Marshall Goldstein will demonstrate the art of Challah baking as participants are encouraged to bake along from the comfort and safety of their home.  Recipes will be emailed ahead of time with the event invite link upon registering.  To register, please email Patricia Quinn at pquinn@jccbuffalo.org.  This event is free and open to everyone.

Tuesday Talkback for The Spy Behind Home Plate – Live Zoom Discussions with Charles Novogrodsky

Join the BIJFF and Charles Novogrodsky, an avid baseball enthusiast and researcher, who will lead the discussion for The Spy Behind Home Plate. American by birth and a longtime resident of Toronto, Novogrodsky has given many presentations on Jewish involvement in baseball and will review the context for this acclaimed film about Moe Berg, the major league catcher who worked undercover for the US government to spy on Germany and Japan during World War II and the Soviet Union during the early days of the Cold War.
