Creating opportunities for meaningful, purposeful and relevant Jewish exploration.
Buffalo Jewish Teen Initiative
The Buffalo Jewish Teen Initiative, a joint project of the Center for Jewish Engagement and Learning and the Jewish Community Center of Greater Buffalo, offers a series of experiences to help Buffalo’s teens (grades 8-12) authentically encounter Judaism. Experiences are designed so that Jewish teens can build their knowledge, self-esteem, leadership and life skills, and shape their identity. The Buffalo Jewish Teen Initiative works in partnership with all Jewish youth programs in Buffalo and is guided by an extraordinary group of adult and teen volunteer leaders.

Manager, Jewish Teen Experience
Ben has been a part of the Buffalo Jewish community since the day he was born. Growing up in this city with deep connections throughout Jewish Buffalo gave him a desire to give back to the community he loves so much. Ben’s experience attending Jewish programs as a teen made him passionate about expanding the reach of teen engagement in Buffalo through innovative programs and insightful conversations. Ben is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan, and when he’s not in the (virtual) office, he loves to cook, ski, and watch Bills games.
