Today we shine our community spotlight on Eli Bokobza, the new manager of the Kosher Deli, located in the Tops Supermarket at 3980 Maple Road near Niagara Falls Blvd. Eli, known for his dedication to traditional Jewish cuisine, has made the Tops Kosher Deli not only a destination for Jewish Buffalonians but for those visiting the area.

Eli’s commitment to quality is evident in the deli’s extensive selection of homemade salads, cooked foods, and baked goods. The welcoming space offers tables for dining or the option to take food home, ensuring a convenient and satisfying experience. On Thursdays and Fridays, Eli’s culinary expertise is complemented by Nechama Okonov’s exceptional challah, rolls, and babkas, adding a special touch to the deli’s offerings.

Eli has come out of retirement after spending many years working for the University at Buffalo and their Jewish community to bring his vision for The Tops Kosher Deli to life. His passion for kosher cuisine and his drive to create a welcoming environment have been pivotal in the deli’s early success. Eli’s dedication extends to every aspect of the business, from the quality of the food to the personal interactions with customers.

The Tops Kosher Deli operates Sunday through Thursday from 12 PM to 6 PM, and on Fridays from 11 AM to 3 PM. We are proud to celebrate Eli today for his outstanding contributions to both his craft and our neighborhood. Hope to see you there!
