Inspired by Halva, this week we are making Chocolate Halva Sandwich Cookies! Halva is a dense candy that is made by mixing tahini paste and sugar. Halva can also have other fillings such as chocolate or nuts. You can find Halva in the Kosher section of any supermarket. For this recipe, you will be making your own homemade Halva!

The cookies are chocolate sandwich cookies filled with a Halva cream. For the chocolate shortbread cookies, you will need all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and unsalted butter. And for the filling, you will need unsalted butter, powdered sugar, and tahini paste. You can also add crumbled Halva into the Halva filling if you wish.
