This week was the final cooking class at Hillel of Buffalo with Macie. After piecing together the skills that we learned in the first three classes, Macie decided to increase the difficulty for this week’s class. The theme for this week was Shabbat dinner.

On the menu at Hillel was a delicious chicken zaatar and a refreshing quinoa salad. Zaatar is a spice blend that you can buy at any grocery store. It is made up of oregano, marjoram, thyme, and other roasted earthy spices. All you have to do is put the seasoning on your chicken, let it marinate, and bake!

The best part about this particular class is that we learned how to make a side dish to go with the chicken. We also learned how to make a quick and easy quinoa salad. This is the most nutritious salad with apples, grapes, celery, and almonds! Make this meal for any occasion and enjoy!!
