Happy Purim! Time to don an outrageous outfit and eat some triangle shaped cookies. Or, as I like to call it, a typical Friday. 

Purim would not be Purim without the delicious treat of hamantaschen. From the story behind the particularly shaped cookie, to the variety of flavors, hamantaschen are a guaranteed crowd pleaser. 

The recipe consists of mainly pantry staple ingredients, so a shopping trip may not even be necessary. The hardest part of making hamantaschen might actually be the shape, so be prepared for some trial and error when folding up your cookie. Keep in mind, there is no need to make it perfect. However it comes out of the oven (equilateral triangle or not) it will be tasty and festive, the best way to celebrate Purim.
