This week, we are proud to spotlight the 12 leaders of Jewish Buffalo who traveled to Israel this week for a five-day solidarity mission. The jam-packed experience was guided by Alan Harkavy, brother-in-law of Jim Kramer and Leslie Shuman Kramer z”l, David and Cathy Miller, and the son-in-law Marilyn Shuman.
The trip’s itinerary included visits to Hostage Square, a new state of the art Subterranean Blood bank, the site of the October 7th Nova Massacre, volunteering at an Israeli farm and Pantry Packers (which delivers crates containing necessary household food and supplies to Israel’s poorest families and senior citizens), the destruction of the city of Ofakim, meeting evacuees from the north of Israel, the Kotel (Western Wall), Mount Hertzel, and time with our Partnership2Gether friends.
Mission participants included Marjorie Bryen, Bonnie Clement, Miriam and Zelda Abramovich, miriam treger honig, Cheryl Stein, Ron and Laurie Sadler, Sheryl Schechter, Amelida and Lillian Weinmann and Irv Levy.
