Beth Steinberg is the new Director of Religious School at Temple Beth Zion. A former teacher at Kadimah Academy, Beth comes to TBZ with 13 years of classroom teaching experience, as well as years of teaching Hebrew at various religious schools around Buffalo. Her favorite part about working with kids is how funny they can be! Beth plans to reinvigorate the Sunday Morning Tefillah program at TBZ with music, art, and movement so that their practice is one of kavanah (the personal intentions of the heart in prayer), so that each student finds value, connection, and pride in what they do together as a Jewish community. She’ll also be revising the religious school curriculum (pre-k through 7th grade, Judaic and Hebrew content), coordinating monthly Mitzvah projects, overseeing the Madrichim program, guiding the faculty to be the best they can be, and so much more!
