Happy Purim! There is no better way to celebrate than making hamantaschen and having a party with your friends and family. When it comes to Purim, the biggest debate in my family is about which flavor is the best. My brother loves all things chocolate, my mom loves chocolate or apricot, and I am a big fan of the apricot and raspberry hamentaschen. But… do the flavors need to only be sweet and for dessert?
Don’t save the celebratory foods for dessert, bring them into dinner! Try making BBQ chicken hamantashen. You’ll be surprised at just how easy it is to make! I’ll walk you through it. All you need to do is go to the grocery store, buy BBQ sauce, pizza dough, and a rotisserie chicken. Then, roll out the dough and cut them into the same size circles as you would for regular hamantaschen and fill, fold, and bake! Then you can truly say then you had hamantaschen for dinner!
